Headquartered in Hong Kong, Wharf Hotels is the hotel management company of Marco Polo Hotels and Niccolo Hotels. The company is owned by The Wharf (Holdings) limited, a Hong Kong-listed group with extensive interests in property, infrastructure and communications and retail management. Wharf Hotels currently operates 15 hotels in the Asia Pacific region.


The Director of F&B Operations shall report directly into the General Manager and oversees all F&B service and culinary aspects of the hotel , revenues and profitability, quality standards and customer satisfaction ; provides the leadership and strategy to inspire the team to drive business results and enhance the brand.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall management of the hotel’s Restaurants, Bars and Events including service and kitchen operations, revenues and profitability, quality improvements, and health and safety
  • Propose, drive and monitor Restaurants, Bars, and Events strategic marketing plans aligned with corporate strategy to ensure maximum profit is achieved
  • Coach and inspire chefs in creating quality customer culinary experience and maximizing overall operational profit
  • Train, upkeep and ensure all colleagues deliver brand promise and provide exceptional customer service at all times
  • Collaborate with other Executive Committee members in a supportive and flexible manner to accomplish overall success of the hotel and customer satisfaction
  • Prepare and handle regular management reports, business plan, and marketing plans

Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ relevant working experience in luxury hotels
  • Extensive F&B exposure with Philippine, Europe or APAC market are essential
  • Previous work exposure in Manila is advantageous
  • Knowledgeable and aware of the best external competitor offerings in local market
  • Mature, independent, tactful with excellent management and interpersonal skills
  • Strong drive to achieve results and willingness to proactively improve ways of working and services are essential
