The Operational Risk Policies & Methods (ORPM) Officer is primarily responsible in providing support in establishing the Bank’s framework on the issuance of Bank manuals relating to operational risks, as well as on the review of risk assessments for business activities relating to product implementations, policy exceptions or deviations. This is to ensure consistency and alignment with risk management principles and processes, and compliance to regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Assist the ORPM Head in the implementation of the Bank’s framework, processes, and tools on the issuance of Bank’s manuals relating to operational risks.
Formulate and review assigned Bank manuals relating to operational risks.
Facilitate the publication and dissemination of approved Bank manuals.
Facilitate the Annual Policy Review exercise of assigned business units and ensure that the expected results are met, and that the tasks assigned are performed according to established standards and guidelines.
Review assigned operational risk assessments for business activities relating to product implementations and policy exceptions or deviations.
Assist the ORPM Head in recommending and executing activities aimed at promoting awareness and appreciation on the issuance of Bank’s manuals.
Assist the ORPM Head in the preparation of materials for the approval of covered Bank manuals and submission of reports to Senior Management and Board-level Committees.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in: BS Management (or related Business degree), Finance, Communications, Organizational Management, Decision Sciences; or Information Technology
At least one (1) year experience or equivalent experience
Relevant work experience or background in Banking, Risk Management, Compliance, and other Bank Support Services
